How to Maintain Your PPF: Complete Guide

You've just invested in a premium paint protection film (PPF). Here's how to care for it so it lasts 10 years and beyond.

Washing: Always use the two-bucket method with a pH-neutral car shampoo. Avoid automatic brush car washes that can damage film edges. Touchless car washes are acceptable.

Self-healing properties: Micro-scratches on PPF disappear with heat. In summer, the sun does the work naturally. In winter, pour warm (not boiling) water over the affected area, and scratches will vanish in seconds.

Products to avoid: Never use solvent-based wax, abrasive polishing compounds, or alcohol-based cleaners directly on PPF. These products can compromise the film's integrity.

Regular inspection: Check the film edges every 6 months, especially after winter. If you notice any lifting, contact us immediately — quick intervention prevents having to replace an entire panel.
